Abstract
Technological advances have done that holders of the royalties do not have any control or supervisión over their artistically or intellectual compositions. Therefore, due to the fact that the management of the rights has become such a difficult activity to perform, series of technological measures have been implemented across the world allowing holders to get control and ownership over their work.
For the first time, this summary paper makes visible a historical data document on the global technology evolution to protect the rights of the authors and their compositions, the internet agreements signed off through the OMPI and how Colombia has being implemented and adjusted the control procedures to assume this global challenge under the new politics law and rules to protect our legacy.
